3 Of Spades was founded by artists who believe tattooing is a lifelong craft, not a service. From day one our goal has been clear: quality over quantity, intention over trends, growth over shortcuts.
We built a space where artists keep refining their skills — black and grey realism, fine line precision, smooth tonal transitions — and where clients feel safe, respected, and heard.
Since 2023, we have grown into one of Hanoi’s trusted destinations for custom tattoo work.
Tattoos That Belong to Hanoi
You can get fine line or realism work anywhere in the world. A piece drawn by Hanoi artists, in the Old Quarter, carrying motifs from the city around you — that only happens here.
Our artists specialise in styles rooted in Vietnamese art: lotus and crane, lanterns and fans, asemic scripture, oriental linework. Six of our galleries are dedicated to Vietnamese and oriental themes alone. Most pieces are drawn for one person, never pulled from a catalogue.
That’s the difference between a tattoo you got on holiday and a tattoo that means something.
Clean, Safe, Professional
Getting tattooed abroad should never mean lowering your standards. Every session at 3 Of Spades follows strict hygiene procedures.
- Single-use, sterile needles and cartridges, opened in front of you
- Fresh gloves, barrier film, and single-use ink caps for every client
- Written aftercare instructions in English before you leave

Design finalised on the day. Written aftercare in English, with guidance if you’re flying soon.
